There's much patience and little haste involved in making a quality piece of furniture. After skillfully selecting the wood for each chair, the wood is cut and milled very accurately to ensure true precision. The parts are then dowelled and assembled with speciallized adhesives for flush and perfect jointery. This requires skill on a chair with numerous compound angles. Later, every piece is given a careful sanding that ensures a flawless surface for the finish. We use the latest and finest European finishes for the ultimate durable look and feel. Whether sprayed on or brushed on, all finishing is done by hand with skillful sanding between multiple coats. These coats then get further sanding and final rubbing by hand to achieve the gorgeous finishes you see and feel. This is a time consuming process, but its the result that truly counts. The resulting work is truly a work of fine artistry and craftsmanship.

This ultra-thick leather needs to be pliable to make the bends needed, so the straps are soaked in water and worked wet. Special "puller" pliers are then used to pre-stretch the leather tight onto the wood before attaching. Wetting the leather also has the advantage of tightening the fibers after drying out. This time proven method makes the weave very taut and strong after drying and the leather will not stretch.
